Intro to TV and Modeling

The Intro to TV and Modeling classes are eight 2-hour sessions consisting of:
  • Movement
  • Modeling
  • Photography
  • Speech
  • Drama
  • TV Commercials

By the end of the 8 week course, students will graduate with the skills necessary to start a professional modeling or acting career. In addition to the fundamental elements, students will also receive:

  • Photographs for Composite Cards and/or Headshots
  • A TV Commercial to show friends & family

The self-confidence students gain from the TV Workshop will accompany them into all walks of life - not just the TV & acting fields. Hundreds of Workshop graduates have gone on to successful careers in modeling and TV as well as business, law, finance and other lucrative jobs.

Modeling and Etiquette

If you've always wanted to look and act like a model, this is the class for you. This class exposes students to the power of poise, the professional look and manner of models, and posing in modeling-related settings. Lessons will include:

  • Entering and exiting a room
  • Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs properly
  • Professional grooming and wardrobe advice
  • Posing for the camera
  • Make-up application
  • Runway turns and walks
  • Nutrition

By the end of the 6 week course, students will graduate with the skills necessary to start modeling. During the class, students will recieve:

  • Color photographs for a portfolio
  • Participate in a runway fashion show

On-Camera

The On-Camera class is for the actor who wants to prepare for television, movies, commercials, and radio voice-overs. To sharpen acting skills, an actor must strengthen their powers of observation, concentration, sensory recall, listening and reacting. The student will get an in-depth course in:

  • Auditioning and marketing yourself
  • Learning about camera angles and terminology
  • Understanding the difference between theatre-acting and film-acting
  • Observing details
  • Communicating thoughts and feelings of a character.

Each class will be taped for the students to observe and critique. At the end of the six-week course, a performance will be video-taped and played to an audience of family & friends.
